  Saroj Chand, LPC-MHSP, Founder/Owner of ACC
Saroj is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider with roughly 30 years experience in the Mental Health field. She received her B.S. Degree from Hunter College in New York City; and her Masters and Specialist degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She welcomes individuals, couples and families as well as members of the GLBTQ community. She is on the approved provider list of the State of Tennessee Sex Offender Treatment Board. She offers Psycho-Sexual Risk Assessments for adults and adolescents, and works with the perpetrators and victims of sex abuse, as well as perpetrators and victims of Domestic Violence. She also offers, Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug assessments. She is a native of India.

    Emid Armstrong, MS
Emid has a her Masters in Counseling from Argosy University in Nashville , TN. She is working towards her license as a Professional Counselor, she likes working with individuals, couples and families.. She facilitates Groups Against Domestic Violence for men and women. She is fluent in Spanish and is interested in working with Hispanic clients. She is a native of Mexico.

    Mary Barker, SPE
Mary is a Senior Psychological Examiner with more than 20 years of experience. Mary received her Master's degree at The University of Tennessee. Mary offers psychological and psychosexual testing, and provides mental health counseling to adults and adolescents. Mary is a native Tennessean.

    Matt Drinnen, LPC-MHSP
Matt is a LPC/MHSP with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. He has experience working with children, adolescents and adults including adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system. His other areas of special interest include learning disabilities, trauma and addiction. Matt is parts I and II trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. He is a member of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association.

    Nicole Dykes, PC
Nicole studied at Walden University and received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Forensics. She is currently pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider and works with individuals of all ages. Nicole utilizes the benefits of both art and play therapy when working with her younger clients and implements her training in positive discipline when working with parents. She also works with families and couples and has experience treating individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, abuse, ADHD, as well as various other clinical issues including substance abuse. Although Nicole grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, she has called Knoxville home since 2001.

    Anthony Fuller, LPC-MHSP
Anthony graduated in 2002 from the University of Tennessee with an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling. He became a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider in 2006. He has several years of experience facilitating groups Against Domestic Violence for both men and women, and now enjoys working with adults who are ready to move beyond their current concerns and challenges and explore new ways to live more successfully with enhanced emotional, physical, and spiritual health. Anthony is a native of Tennessee.

    Dr. Angela Fuss, PhD, LPC-MHSP, NCC
Angie is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider with over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field.  She received her Masters degree in family and human services from the University of Oregon in 2004 and a PhD in counselor education from the University of Tennessee in 2010.  She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples and family therapy. Areas in which she has extensive experience include Child Centered Play Therapy and trauma recovery techniques including trained in TFCBT.  Angie also has several years of experience in career counseling and university teaching.

    William Grove, LMSW
William is a Licensed Master Social Worker. He earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work through Columbia University and has been licensed in Tennessee since November 2006. He is currently pursuing LCSW licensure in Tennessee. William has provided counseling and care services to children and families for 4.5 years; serving children in birth, foster, and adoptive homes. He has served in group home environments as a child care specialist for 1.5 years and as a therapist to youth for one year. While William is a generalist practitioner, he has additional experience in preventive services, family group conferencing, family rehabilitation and with the Family Courts. William has experience in working with adults in long-term care and supporting families in supportive roles. William provides services to adults, youth and children through individual, couples and family therapy.

    Greg Hill, PC
Greg is completing Master of Mental Health Counseling program at Argosy University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is currently working toward his license as a Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider. Greg has over 10 years experience working with children and adolescents and helps co-lead our psycho-educational group for teenage boys. In addition to working with children and adolescents, Greg works with adults and offers individual, couples, and family counseling. He has experience treating individuals with depression and bi-polar, anxiety, abuse, ADHD, and other various clinical issues including substance abuse and co-leads our psycho-educational A&D group. Although, Greg has grown up overseas in his youth, he is a native Tennessean.

    E. Colvin Idol, LPC-MHSP
With Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Tennessee, Colvin is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider and a Tennessee native. He sees individuals and couples with a portion of his practice devoted to adolescents. Colvin also facilitates Batterers Intervention Groups (often called Anger Management Groups) and Alcohol & Drug Education and Support Groups. He is a Tennessee Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider and co-facilitates an Intensive Outpatient Program for Adolescent Sex Offenders. Colvin welcomes active military service members and veterans as well as other family members of military personnel.

    Pradumna S. Jain, M.D.
Dr. Jain is a licensed Psychiatrist, offering medication management to address chemically-related mental health issues. He treats both children and adults. Dr. Jain is a native of India.

    Marjorie Lloyd, MS, LPC-MHSP
Marjorie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is qualified to address mental health issues. Previous to receiving her license, Ms. Lloyd worked for the Tennessee Departmnt of Children's Services as a case manager for eight years, working with foster children, their families, and families at risk. Ms. Lloyd enjoys doing play therapy with children ages two through nine or ten and individual therapy with children, teens, men, and women. She also enjoys doing marriage counseling, anger management, and using cognitive/behavioral therapy to address many types of mental health disorders including Major Depression, Bipolar 1 and 2 Disorders, various Anxiety Disorders, and so forth. Ms. Lloyd has a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Community Counseling from UT-Knoxville. Ms. Lloyd is also a National Certified Counselor.

    Niketa Patel, PC
Niketa has a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and undergraduate degree from Argosy University in Psychology. She is currently pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider. Niketa bases her therapeutic approaches on the needs of clients. She enjoys working with children, teenagers, as well as adults. She has experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bi-polar, substance abuse, and other clinical issues. Niketa has worked in children's group homes in Atlanta and also served adults who struggled with substance abuse prior to joining Alternative Counseling Center. Niketa was born and raised in the United States, her parents are natives of India.

    Deborah Rowlands, MS, CRS, LPC-MHSP
Deborah Rowlands is a licensed professional counselor with mental health service provider designation, and a certified rehabilitation counselor.  She received her MS degree in counseling at the University of Tennessee in December of 2000. Deborah has nearly ten years post Masters degree experience in mental health work in East Tennessee. In 2001, she obtained her certification in rehabilitation counseling, which allows her to do specialty vocational counseling work with clients who have physical or mental disabilities.   Prior to beginning at Alternative Counseling Center, Deborah worked as a mental health counselor contract employee through Peninsula for the SAP program in Knox County Schools. Deborah serves mental health clients of all ages in general practice counseling, but she is particularly interested in assisting clients with family crisis intervention, marriage counseling, trauma from abuse, eating disorders, mood disorders, and in treating persons with personality disorders. She also has extensive experience with anger management skills training and substance abuse counseling. Deborah is a native Tennessean.

    Brandi Smith, PC
Brandi received her Masters degree in Counseling at the University of
Tennessee and is pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider. Training and work experience consists of helping individuals and families learn to cope with mental and physical health issues. Areas of focus have included problems with depression, anxiety, alcohol and drug addiction, poor self-esteem, parenting stress, and adjusting to life changes related to health problems. She has served as a caseworker in a nursing facility with rehabilitation and long-term care programs for 6 years. Other employment has included providing counseling to Families First participants for 3 years and conducting vocational assessments for 5 years. Brandi grew up in Knoxville.

    Rosa Whitmer, MFT
Rosa is a bilingual therapist fluent in both Spanish and English. Rosa earned a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in Southern California. Rosa is currently pursuing her licensure as a professional Marriage and Family Therapist. Rosa’s training and work experiences consist of working with state agencies, nonprofit agencies and in private practice. Rosa enjoys helping couples, families, adults, teenagers and children six years and older to cope with a wide array of issues such as mood disorders, anxieties, depression, loss and grief, addictions, anger management, behavioral issues, poor self-esteem, marital issues, domestic abuse, physical and emotional disturbances, parenting, trauma and PTSD. Rosa is a native of Mexico.

    Tomiko Williams, M.Ed, ED.S
Tomiko earned her Masters in Counseling in 2001 from Carson Newman College, and then her Specialist's degree in 2003. She is currently working towards her license as a Professional Counselor. Tomiko has over fourteen years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She has worked with several State agencies providing Individual/Family Counseling, Anger Management, and Crisis Intervention. Tomiko enjoys working with children nine years and older and their families. She offers Individual, Family Counseling, and working with trauma from abuse, mood disorders, and family crisis intervention. Tomiko is a native Tennessean.
